This real hidden gem of a place lies hidden at the back of the old Iron Mongers & Hardware Store that was first established in 1836 and is still open to this day. The shop still has that old fashioned feel and smell to it, like stepping back in time. Step back even further as you discover the secret museum dedicated to a huge quantity of old tools and ways of living like the old Georgian workshop, and local signs from the bygone era. The place is a treasure trove and makes an interesting visit if you are in Cockermouth.
