This lovely waterfall is situated at the head of Great Langdale valley, at the foothills of Crinkle Crags and Bow Fell. It is part of Hell Gill, that flows into Oxendale beck. The force its self lies quite high up in the fells and is classed as a moderate walk up to it.
The force cascades over 30ft into a clear pool at the bottom, a nice place for a refreshing dip.
You can park at the national trust carpark at The Old Dungeon Ghyll and head up to the waterfall past Stool End following the footpath marked on an OS map that goes along the side of Hell Gill below Buscoe Sike, you can see Whorneyside marked on the map.
